Dr. Andrew Yip

Architect of Cross-Continental Impact

Anchored at KAUST, I shape food strategic initiatives and translational pathways for food security in Saudi Arabia. I design innovation ecosystems, forge cross-sector partnerships, and mentor the next generation of founders across MENA, Asia, and Africa.

The Integrator's Mindset

For over 15 years in Saudi Arabia, I've architected complex, cross-border initiatives. My practice: connect disparate domains—research and market demand, cultural heritage and digital platforms, regional strategy and grassroots innovation—to unlock new value.

I operate systemically. Identify the leverage points where technology and collaboration unlock economic, social, and scientific value. My toolkit spans rigorous analysis, deep contextual empathy, and executable models—whether advancing translational research, architecting for governments, advising national agencies, or mentoring ventures from concept to market.

Currently, I serve as Research Scientist – Food Strategic Initiatives at KAUST and Chief Representative for WAFI Middle East, with advisory roles at the Saudi Center for Innovative Agriculture. Former Head of Innovation & Ecosystem Activation, NEOM Food. My work advances food security, Saudi Vision 2030, and South-South cooperation frameworks.
